David Carter

David Carter is a lawyer and business advisor who is a former partner of one of the world's largest law firms.  In 2006 David left that firm to establish a legal and advisory practice. He combines his high level of legal and commercial experience with a "hands on" approach.

David has vast experience in corporate and commercial law. He has advised broadly in relation to business and legal matters for individuals, partnerships, established and emerging businesses, and acts as an advisor to private, public and listed companies.

David provides corporate and business advice and also acts as a company director and consultant. He couples his legal knowledge with his substantial commercial experience. David has undertaken a wide range of management roles including head of Corporate Practice Groups, HR Partner, marketing partner and a member of the national marketing board. This experience ensures that David understands the key drivers effecting business success.

David has been recognised for his commercial, practical and client focused approach. He is highly regarded for his "excellent legal and commercial skills".

David has had considerable experience in corporate governance and advice and has been responsible for the development of the corporate governance strategies for private, not for profit, public and listed companies.

Examples of his recent work include:

• creating an international licence arrangement with one of the world’s major telecommunications and technology companies;
• addressing structural issues for an international distribution company and establishing distributional channels in 7 territories;
• establishing Australian operations for a foreign international.
• developing information memorandum to assist a start up company raise equity funds.
• preparing shareholders arrangements and management structures for a newly developed service business.
• establishing international offices for Australian businesses in United States of America and United Kingdom.
• implementing compliance program.
• advising on and structuring executive incentive program.

Leanne Scott

Leanne Scott is a lawyer whose principal areas of experience are in dispute resolution and
employment issues. She also advises generally in relation to small and emerging businesses’ legal
matters, particularly focusing on employment issues, contracts and leases.
Leanne has been involved in very large scale litigation through to smaller matters. She strives to
minimise clients’ costs, inconvenience and stress through alternative dispute resolution. Leanne
also has considerable practical experience in debt management and collection.

Leanne’s strengths include her practical approach, communication and negotiation skills.

Jessica Arora

Jessica Arora is a lawyer who has experience in commercial law and litigation.

She has been involved in matters in the Supreme, County and Federal Magistrates’ Courts.

Jessica has experience in matters relating to:

• insolvency and bankruptcy
• commercial and residential leasing
• debt recovery and management
• employment law

Jessica is currently undertaking a Masters of Law at the University of Melbourne.

She has also supervised law students at the Monash Oakleigh Legal Service on a voluntary basis since 2010.
